Everything runs right from your browser. Nothing joins your call, no "notetaker" on the attendee list, no asking the host.
Your recording, in your account. Your meetings aren't someone else's training data.

Use at your own risk. MeetingSidekick is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you assume all responsibility and risk for your use of the service, and the operators are not liable for any damages arising from that use.
Corporate use. If you use MeetingSidekick for work, you are responsible for complying with your employer's and any third party's policies, contracts, and confidentiality obligations. Some organizations prohibit third-party recording or transcription — check before you use it.
Recording & consent. Laws on recording and transcribing conversations vary by jurisdiction. Some places require that all parties consent. You are solely responsible for obtaining any consent or giving any disclosure required by the laws that apply to you and the other participants.
Your representations. Each time you record, you represent and warrant that you have obtained every consent and given every disclosure required by the laws and policies that apply to you and the other participants, and that your use does not breach any contract, confidentiality obligation, or employer policy.
Indemnification. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MeetingSidekick and its operators from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the service, the content you record or transcribe, or your breach of these terms or of any law — including any claim brought by another participant in a conversation you recorded.
How transcription works. Audio captured through your device is transcribed to produce text. Transcripts, summaries, and chats you create are stored in your account so you can return to them, and are never shared.
This notice is a product disclosure, not legal advice.
This policy explains what MeetingSidekick ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and who we share it with. By using the service you agree to this policy together with our Terms & recording responsibility.
1. Information we collect.
Account: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
Meeting content: the transcripts, summaries, key points, action items, and chat questions and answers generated from meetings you record — and, on plans that include audio recording (Max), the full meeting audio plus any speaker names you assign.
Usage: recording duration, your plan, and timestamps — used to show your history and enforce plan limits.
Technical: a session cookie to keep you signed in, Google Analytics page-view events (when enabled), plus standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.
2. Audio and how transcription works. Audio captured through your device is sent to our transcription provider to convert speech to text. On Free and Pro we do not store your raw audio after it has been transcribed — we keep only the resulting text in your account. On plans that include audio recording (Max), the full meeting recording is kept in your account so you can replay it and so speakers can be identified; it is stored encrypted at rest and deleted when you delete the meeting or your account. Screenshots pasted into meeting chat are analysed to answer your question but never stored.
3. How we use your information. To provide the service (transcribe, summarize, answer questions about, and save your meetings), to sign you in and keep your account secure, to enforce plan quotas, to understand website traffic, and to send you service email (verification, password resets, and recaps you ask us to send). We do not sell your personal information or meeting content, and we do not use it to train our own AI models.
4. Service providers. We share data only with the providers needed to run the service, each acting on our behalf under its own security commitments:
5. Recording and consent. You decide what to record and are responsible for obtaining any consent the law requires from other participants — see our Terms & recording responsibility.
6. Retention and deletion. Your meetings stay in your account until you delete them. Deleting a meeting permanently removes its transcript, summary, chat, and any stored audio recording; we retain only a minimal record of recorded minutes for plan and billing accounting. Deleting your account also deletes any stored audio recordings. To delete your account and personal data, contact us at the address below (we may keep limited records where the law requires).
7. Security. Passwords are stored hashed, traffic is served over HTTPS, and access to data is limited. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
8. Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to make a request.
9. Children. MeetingSidekick is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
10. Changes. We may update this policy; we will revise the date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
11. Contact. Questions or privacy requests: admin@meetingsidekick.ai.
